Regulators and experts from academia, government and industry from around the world embraced the development of an alliance of thought leaders and the proposal of a second Rendez-Vous meeting to address the challenges associated with global food fraud following two-days of high-level presentations and panels at the Towards Global Prevention and Mitigation of Food Fraud Symposium (Quebec City, Canada, April 4-5). The symposium highlighted the varied aspects of food fraud and the related negative impacts along food supply chains and on consumer confidence. Expert speakers and panelists from many disciplines presented the latest developments in food fraud detection, prevention, mitigation and management.
