This volume (#20) of The World of Food Science focusses on aspects of food science and technology in Africa, with contributions from correspondents in Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Burkina Faso and Ethiopia (accessible via the ‘Focus on Africa’ link below the banner above). The context of all of these feature articles was the Codex Coordinating Committee for Africa meeting to which IUFoST was invited to present; IUFoST also at the same time convened a Food Safety Workshop, and a and also a regional consultation on the Food Safety Curricula Initiative.
Thanks to Academy President Dr Ruth Oniang’o, who was instrumental in ensuring that this volume on Africa came about, and Dr George Ooko for his role as Guest Editor.
